Free pixel mapping software
Free pixel mapping software for LED strips and nodes
PixNet Artist lets you draw your LED installation, add effects and play it live over Art-Net or sACN, without paying anything for a full data line. Design and preview a show of any size for free.
What's free
Everything in the software, for one full data line
The free version isn't cut down. Every feature is included. The only limit is how many universes are sent out live.
6 universes free
One full data line: 1024 RGB or 768 RGBW pixels, with pixels running across universe boundaries.
Design any size
Lay out and preview an installation of any size. The licence only limits live output and what goes on a player.
All features included
Strips, nodes, matrices and rings, layered effects, music reaction, scenes, PIN lock and show control.
No sign-up
Download, install and start mapping. It works offline, with no account and no internet needed.
Windows and Mac
Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) and macOS 11 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Add universes later
Need more? Universe packs add 6 universes each and stack. A PixNet Artist Player comes with 24.
How it works
From install to light in four steps
Most people have their first strip running in a few minutes.
Install
Download and run the installer, or drag the app into Applications on a Mac.
Draw the map
Add strips, nodes, matrices and rings, and set each one's pixel count and colour order.
Connect
Add your controller and its IP address, then drag its outputs to the areas they feed.
Add effects and play
Stack effect layers, save scenes and play them from the Scenes screen.
